YSRC MLA RK Roja fell into a faint as she suffered dehydration and low blood sugars while protesting under hot sun in the Assembly premises on Saturday.<\/p>\n
She had been arguing with authorities, since morning, who had barred her from entering Assembly for the second day in series. Roja staged sit-in near Gandhi statue in Assembly premises after chief marshal categorically denied \u00a0entry stating that he had no instruction to allow her enter the Assembly. Later an ambulance was called in and the MLA was shifted to NIMS for medical check -up. This is the second time \u00a0at the Assembly and third time in the state, when Roja fainted while staging protest.<\/p>\n
In last December, following her suspension from the Assembly for a year, Roja , along with party MLAs, staged a protest against the action of the House and reportedly tried to enter the House. There was pushing and shoving when cops stopped YSRC MLAs and Roja sustained minor injuries in the melee. When police tried to take her into preventive custody, she fell sick suddenly and fainted. Later, she was shifted to Nampally police station and from there to NIMS for treatment. The YSRC MLA, however, denied having defied the suspension order to enter the Assembly. The scuffle took place, when, thinking that she was trying to sneak into the House, the marshals stopped her.<\/p>\n
The third incident fainting took place in Nagari, her constituency in Chittoor district in April 2015. When she fainted, she was \u00a0in a dharna organized by YSRCP demanding suspension of CI and SI of Nagari for registering false cases against her. She recovered after some time and continued her dharna.<\/p>\n
On the other side, YS Jaganmohan Reddy led a march of protest Amdedkar statue at Tank Bund where the performed milk bath to the statue and symbolically presented memorandum to Baba Saheb. Addressing media Jagan announced that their boycott of Assemby would continue till Monday when the High Court takes up their contempt petition. He accused the Assembly speaker of colluding with chief minister Chandrababu Naidu denying the Opposition a chance to raise the subject in Assembly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
