The YSR Congress Party, is making a move to hit the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in his own district Chittoor, by attempting to destabilise TDP\u2019s Zilla Parishad Chairperson. Though TDP is having absolute majority in the Zilla Parishad, the opposition party is moving tactfully intending to take advantage from the `discontent\u2019 prevailed in TDP camp.<\/p>\n
The YSRCP has been reportedly preparing to move no confidence motion against ZP chairperson Geervani Chandra Prakash, at the ZP general body meeting slated to be held after MLC election code ends. YSRCP district president K Narayanaswamy admitted his party\u2019s move in this regard.<\/p>\n
Out of 65 ZPTCs in the Zilla Parishad, the TDP has absolute majority with 37 members and YSRCP claims 27 members. Geervani Chandra Prakash was elected as ZP chairperson unanimously on July 5, 2014 as Chief Minister selected her as the suitable candidate for the prestigious post.<\/p>\n
She was elected as ZPTC member from Chittoor rural mandal and happens to be wife of senior TDP leader Chandra Prakash. Out of 65 ZPTC members, women are representing in 32 seats. However, her husband is allegedly involving in the ZP administration affairs on her behalf. The chairperson has openly declared that it was her `dire need\u2019 to get the assistance from her husband.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat is wrong in taking suggestions from my husband who is well-versed with the people\u2019s issues? However, I don\u2019t allow him to interfere in administrative matters of ZP,\u201d she defended herself on many occasions. The YSRCP ZPTCs are accusing her of not taking interest to develop their areas in the district due to political bias.<\/p>\n
The YSRCP leaders are expecting that some TDP ZPTCs would cast their vote against Geervani since they are reportedly disillusioned with her administration. However, district minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy said to be alerted with opposition move and making efforts to get their ZPTCs to be united.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
