Bhongir: With a view to bringing recognition to the temple town Yadadri, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keen on laying four-lane roads on the four sides of the shrine Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
KCR was speaking during a review meeting organised in the town. There is significant rise in devotees to the hillock and there might be further rush in the future, he opined. KCR asked the officials to complete the works of the temple on war footing and construction works should come to final stage by the next Dasara festival. With regard to this, the Chief Minister asked the officials to prepare proposals for laying the four-lane road from Vangapally.
Stating that any construction should be come up according to the Agama Shastras, KCR urged the temple authorities to use home-grown flowers developed in the garden for performing pooja to the deity.
KCR also visited and reviewed the construction of cottages, gardens, rotaries, and canteen which are proposed near the temple for the devotees. KCR also decided to renamed the district as – Yadadri Bhongir district following pleas from the locals suggesting the State government over renaming it. The Chief Minister also said Bhongir town will be served as headquarters.
