Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has come down heavily on chief secretary LV Subramanyam, while raising concerns over his functioning. Yanamala has questioned the right of CS for holding review meetings on counting arrangements for May 23.
“How can chief secretary hold review meetings on counting arrangements. The CS is taking unilateral decisions and acting in an undemocratic way. No one has right to question the decisions taken by the state Cabinet,” remarked Yanamala.
“How can the CS questions the funds disbursement for welfare schemes meant for poor people. Subramanyam is making baseless allegations against the government by stating that there’re no enough funds for schemes. The state government has allocated enough funds for schemes like ‘Pasupu-Kumkuma’ and investment support to farmers. We have allocated Rs5,000 crore for Annadata Sukhibhava and Rs4,000 crore for Pasupu-Kumkuma schemes. We have also distributed cheques to farmers and women before the Election Code comes into force,” further said Yanamala.
Another TDP leader and MLC Rajendraprasad further criticised the political vendetta against the TDP government.
“The BJP-led NDA government and other political parties like YSRCP and TRS are jointly attacking the TDP government. The leaders, who spoke about students in AP, are not talking about the death of intermediate students in Telangana. Election Commission doesn’t have right to question the decisions taken by the state Cabinet. And the CS also doesn’t have right to review the counting arrangements,” added Rajendraprasad.
The MLC has further raised doubts about Switzerland tour of YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
“YS Jaganmohan Reddy went to Switzerland just to manage his Swiss account. YS Jaganmohan Reddy keeps his blackmoney in his Swiss account. YSRCP is also making an attempt to take political advantage out of TTD’s gold reserves,” maintained Rajendraprasad.
