TDP is perceiving a big threat to their leader. It’s expressing concern over the rising number of illegal and criminal activities by the opposition YSR Congress Party which is ready to indulge in violence and murders to sabotage and disrupt the April 11 AP Assembly and Lok Sabha election.
The basis for these fears is that YCP President Jaganmohan Reddy and his co-accused Vijayasai Reddy are getting top cops transferred in AP only with an objective to create violent disturbances to hijack the election process.
MLC YVB Rajendra Prasad said that the YCP, BJP and TRS were hatching a conspiracy to eliminate CM Chandrababu Naidu in an Alipiri-like raid and destabilise Andhra Pradesh as part of their future political ambitions. The transfer of CM’s security and intelligence chief AB Venkateswara Rao by the Central Election Commission was a clear evidence of the bigger political conspiracy being planned by Jaganmohan Reddy.
The TDP said that if anything happens to Chandrababu Naidu, then Jagan, PM Modi and Chandrasekhar Rao should have to take the total responsibility for the same. The CEC would be equally held responsible as it’s behaving like a front organisation for the BJP and its partners without verifying facts before taking a crucial decision.
Mr Rajendra Prasad also demanded that the CEC should explain to the people about exact reasons for the transfer of the AP cops in the middle of election process. The same CEC didn’t take any action against the Telangana intelligence chief at time of 2018 assembly election despite complaints given by Congress. At that time, the CEC said the intelligence chief was among those officials not connected with the election process and so there was no need for his transfer.
