After coming to power, the YCP leaders have come under increasing stress to deliver better performance. But there’s confusion about what aspects they have to concentrate. They chose the best way to imitate and repeat what CM Jaganmohan Reddy has been saying against Naidu ever since the YCP came to power. That is not giving desired result. After nearly six weeks in power, Jagan is unhappy that their party is not being able to dominate the opposition effectively. He has told his MLAs and MPs about the need to prepare well to corner and suppress Opposition in all respects.
Analysts say that there is a natural disadvantage for YCP MLAs. The TDP ran the first government for the newly created residual Andhra. It got the chance to prioritize multi-crore projects and even select the location for creating Capital City. If Jagan was smart, he wouldn’t have openly criticised or talked about corruption in those projects. Now a situation came where he can neither stop those big projects begun by Naidu nor continue those works positively. YCP MLAs and MPs are now competing to impress Jagan by establishing TDP corruption in these projects. That is proving to be not easy for them just like Jagan himself is unsure of how to take forward his anti-corruption campaign without support from the Centre.
