Yeddyurappa, 23rd CM of Karnataka, resigned from CM post ahead of floor test. Floor test was scheduled at 4 pm as per the directive of Supreme court. Before resigning, he made an emotional speech and he spoke about farmers issues and water problems. He did not miss to emphasize loan waiver he did after becoming CM couple of days back.
He told, “I have never done opportunistic politics in my career. Farmers in Karnataka are still poor and they are facing several issues including water problem. After these many years of independence, we are still not been able to address the problems of farmers. My only aim to form the government was to serve the farmers” . He also added that BJP is the largest party in the state which clearly shows people have rejected Congress and BJP.
Anyway it is interesting to see CM belonging to BJP resigning. It is definitely demonstration of old axiom that – Money can’t buy everything in life. Probably this is biggest jolt to BJP in recent times.
