The Amaravati Capital City farmers are making a strong plea to TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu not to leave the capital area but live in some other village in the same place. They have offered 4,800 sq yards site to construct Naidu’s own residence in any of the Capital City villages. The farmers say that they have offered over 33,000 acres land for Capital City and they can offer a small piece of land at their cost to retain Chandrababu in their area itself.
The farmers’ main worry is that if Chandrababu leaves the place, the brand image of Amaravati will get badly hit both in national and international forums. They told Naidu that they had not received the monthly installment for June towards the lands given to the government. Farmers also say that there are efforts by the ruling party leaders to first drive away Naidu and then harass them to get forcible possession of their lands.
Amaravati farmers have come together under the leadership of Tadikonda Ex MLA Sravan Kumar. They asked Naidu to select any village where the local farmers’ will pool their land to give it to the TDP boss. All said and done, Naidu is the brand ambassador for Capital City. Naturally, the farmers have their own fears. Moreover, both Mangalagiri and Tadikonda Capital City assembly segments are won by YCP.
