Among new generation Tollywood heroes, Sharwanand stands first when it comes to experimenting with roles. After playing a guy with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) in his soon-to-be-released film ‘Mahanubhavudu’, he is gearing up to play probably his most difficult character so far.
Sharwanand is next teaming up with Sudheer Varma of ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ and ‘Keshava’ fame. The director is known for dishing out crime-based films. While his debut film ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ was a successful crime comedy, his recent outing ‘Keshava’ was an intense revenge drama. In between, he made a dud called ‘Dochay’, which was a crime thriller too.
Not deviating from the crime genre, Varma has next etched a gangster drama for Sharwanand. The young hero will be seen playing a mafia don in the film, and he will seen as a 40-year-old character for significant amount of time in the film. This is going to a completely different film for Sharwa, and his most difficult role to date. His raw and rugged look, and the characterization will be on the lines of ‘Prasthanam’. The film will also be a welcome change for him after acting in a series of family entertainers and romantic comedies.
It may be recalled that before saving his career with ‘Run Raja Run’, Sharwa had acted in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Satya 2’, where he played a youth who steps into Mumbai with the devilish ambition of refashioning the Mumbai underworld. The film was an epic disaster.
We shall see if Sharwa can embrace success in Gangster genre with this new film.
