YS Jagan, who is currently on the 93rd day of his ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’ showered sops, keeping farmers in mind. During his speech in Thimmapalem Village (Kondapi Constituency), Prakasham district, the YSRCP Chief condemned AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that the AP CM has completely ignored farmers and agricultural sector. He promised the following benefits if YSRCP party comes into power:
- 9 hours of free electricity to farmers during the daytime.
- Interest-free loans to farmers and women
- Will deposit Rs 12,500 to farmers in the month of May
- The Government will provide free water bores in fields
- Rs 3,000 crores will be allotted to control price fluctuation
- Will rescue dairy farmers once we come to power
- Rs 4,000 will be given to Co-operative dairy farms as incentive
- Rs 4,000 crores to Natural Disaster Fund
- Will complete irrigation project on ‘emergency’ basis
It will be interesting to know how YS Jagan can accumulate funds to fulfil all the promises he is making. If the political leaders go on making election promises, will there ever be a scope for the ‘real development’ in the state?
