YSR’s biopic Yatra is slated for release this Friday and the film landed into a legal spat after M Murugan of Sri Saai Lakshmi Pictures approached the Madras High Court over the title row. The court issued a notice to the makers of Yatra and the further hearing will take place on February 6th in Chennai. Murugan claimed that despite of several attempts, they ignored him and he revealed that he registered Yatra (title and script) with Film and Television Producer Guild of South India.
Murugan also said that the shoot of his film is completed and is gearing up for February end release. Yatra directed by Mahi V Raghav features Mammootty in the lead role and the film narrates about YSR’s foot march in united Andhra Pradesh that brought him to power in 2004.
