Congress to joined the issue with APCC chief Raghuveera Reddy demanding judicial enquiry into the scandal.
Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is to lodge a complaint to the state Governor E S L Narasimhan on the state government led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the failure and misuse of official machinery.
Determined to step up its anti against the ruling party inside and outside of the house, the YSRCP has sought an appointment with Narasimhan on Tuesday morning to brief him on the failure of the government on various fronts.
Jaganmohan Reddy is mainly contemplating to sought the interference of the Governor on the government’s controversial decision on the mining bauxite in the Visakhapatnam Forest Areas, and the alleged role of some TDP MLAs in the ‘Call Money Scandal’. The party has decided to ask the governor to prevail upon the government following reports of senior police officials getting pressurized to derail the investigations into the scandal, to save those involved in the scandal, the party sources said.
Meanwhile, the Congress party too sees the ‘Call Money Scandal’ as a potential issues to taken on the ruling TDP and has demanded free hand to the police officials investigating the crime. The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief Raghuveera Reddy has demanded the government to institute a judicial inquiry as the incident brought shame to the entire society and the state. The Congress has also decided to launch an agitation over the mining of bauxite issue. And, it has decided to field Scheduled Tribe MP’s to take a tour in the forest areas of Visakhapatnam on January 28 and 28.
