Hyderabad: YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday called on Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora and complained about TDP’s undemocratic practices in Andhra Pradesh. He asked the CEO to take action against Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
The chief of opposition party in Andhra Pradesh (AP) reached New Delhi Sunday night. “TDP is influencing the official mechanism and made irregular changes in the voters’ list. In the name of surveys, TDP delisted several names from segments, where YSRCP has strong hold. We have evidence to this and submitted all the reports to CEC,” said Reddy.
YSRCP MPs Vijayasai Reddy and Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy along with P Mithun Reddy, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, YV Subba Reddy, Varaprasad, who resided demanding Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.
YS Jaganmohan Reddy has further briefed the CEC that almost in all the districts, YSRCP sympathisers have been deleted from the voters list.
TDP has fielded private agencies in the name of surveys and resorted to delete details of YSRCP supporters in several districts, he said. These agencies are enquiring about which party they would vote. If voters say YSRCP, then agencies will take voter ID number and delete them later,” remarked YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
