Two YSRCP MLAs Kodali Nani and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who today attended before the AP Assembly Privileges Committee, claimed that the committee members failed to show any evidence against them in support of their allegations that they had `misbehaved’ with assembly marshals.
They said they had objected for accusing them of misbehaving with marshals, without completing their enquiry. It seems they have started enquiry with a pre-determined intention of suspending both of them from the house.
Nani said that when they asked evidence in support of their accusation, they showed video clipping, in which it was seen they were protesting from the Speaker’s podium. “But nowhere we were seen misbehaving with marshals or attacking them”, he added.
He said he made it clear that they didn’t commit any mistake. Further, he alleged that the ruling party is targeting all those who are strongly supporting YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s leadership and also attempting to expose mis-rule of the Telugu Desam party government.
Bhaskar Reddy deplored that it seems that the the Privileges’ Committee, which is expected to stand by the members to protect their privileges’ itself committing to do injustice to them. Reddy, who hails from the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s native place Chandragiri constituency, alleged that the Chief Minister is impatient towards his presence in the Assembly and making attempt to send him out with false accusations.
