The YSRCP MPs protested outside the Parliament today morning. The YSRCP staged the protest with placards and shouting anti-BJP slogans near Parliament Gate 1. Addressing the state and national media, the YSRCP MPs said, ‘It has been 4 years since the BJP (at Centre) and TDP (at State) came to power. Many of the promises mentioned in the AP State Bifurcation act are yet to be fulfilled. The ruling TDP party too has failed miserably on all fronts in fulfilling these promises.’
Meanwhile, Vijayasai Reddy (YRSCP MP), issued a calling-attention notice in Rajya Sabha, and MP Subba Reddy called for an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha. The YSRCP lashed at the Centre and TDP alleging that both the parties are playing with the emotions and feelings of the people.
‘The completion of the prestigious Polavaram Project (Andhra Pradesh’s lifeline) by 2019 is highly sceptical. Similarly, AP Special Status, the declaration of Vishakhapatnam Railway Zone, subject of Kadapa Steel Plant and development of Durgarajapatnam Port are nowhere to be heard. The TDP and Chandrababu are only concerned about being in power, and not about the problems of the Andhra Pradesh state.
Instead of putting pressure on the Centre, the TDP chose to stage namesake protests while being in power. We will continue to put pressure on the Centre until it fulfils the promises made in the AP Bifurcation Act,’ said Vijayasai Reddy.
