Akkineni Naga Chaitanaya and Allari Naresh are testing their luck at the box office this week with Yuddham Sharanam and Meda Meeda Abbayi. Both these films released amidst decent expectations.
In overseas, Yuddham Sharanam kick started its box office journey on a poor note. The film released in decent number of screens, but failed to make a promising start from its Thursday premiers. According to the trade update, the film collected a meagre $ 33K from premiers, which is a very disappointing start compared to the opening of Chaitu’s previous outings. His last film Ra Randoi Veduka Choodam collected $ 67K from its Thursday premiers. Trade analysts predict that Yuddham Sharanam might be a huge disaster as the talk from audience and critics is not so encouraging.
Allari Naresh’s Meda Meeda Abbayi took a dismal start at the overseas box office. The film has hardly collected $ 1K from its Thursday premiers, which is shockingly low number for a notable hero like Naresh. The film is likely to end up as a huge loss venture for distributors and exhibitors.
With a disappointing start for both the latest releases, Tollywood’s sensational hit Arjun Reddy will look to notch up few more promising numbers in this weekend.
