YuppTV, one of the leading online content provider, raised curtains for its first web-series in the league of originals titled Endukila. With the rom-com genre, Endukila is a story about a guy Dhanush Rishi aka Dhari (Sumanth Ashwin) who is brand ambassador for bad luck. He aspires to be a horse rider and manages to land in his favorite job despite his ill-fated luck. His father Subramaniyam (Kasi Vishwanath) believes that the stars and planets have declared a war on his son from the time of his birth. Ruvi (Yamini Bhaskar) is the childhood love of Dhari who is crazy about astrology and would stay away from anyone whose horoscope is bad. Dhari’s father lies about his son’s luck to help him succeed in love. Rest of the series is anticipated to revolve around how Dhari who is known for his bad luck drives his love story.
The comic timing between the father and son is riotous. His father’s dialogues are sidesplitting. From the very first episode- dialogues like “Domalatoh rogalu, rogalatoh ragala testhuna valu” and “Kaliyugam ochesariki devudu kuda baga pollute aipoyadu lekapothe dasharthudu lanti naku e daridrurdu putadem enti” will tickle your funny bone. The dialogs tirade continues in the next episodes as well. First episode seems a little bit dragged, otherwise, the next three episodes are truly engaging.
Sumanth performs ease and is overloaded with cuteness. Yamini Bhaskar is bearable. Kashi Viswanath is entertaining. Others including Madhumani, Sai Kumar, Subbaraju are also seen. Music by Mahesh Shankar is decent. The overall presentation is decent. It is presented by Deva Katta and directed by Lakshman Karya. In one of the dialogues, the father says “kotha projects ravalante infrastructure ila costly ga undali”, Yupp TV has definitely put in costly infrastructure for this web series which is surely a next level in itself.
The concept of ‘bad-luck’ is something audience have witnessed in Telugu and Hindi daily soaps but in a lady oriented role and as a serious stigma. On the contrary, Endukila is a satirical comedy of errors. Don’t try to find logic and just enjoy the engaging content. It is fictitious light hearted comedy. The web series has put up four episodes online of the 10 episodes.
