“There is no YSR in the YSR Congress party. This YSR is different. It represents YV Subba Reddy (Y), Vijaya Sai Reddy (S) and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy (R),” asserted APCC president Y S Sharmila. Speaking to the party workers at Ongole on Saturday, Sharmila said that the party had given up YSR ideals.
She said that YSR had started the Gundlakamma project under Jala Yagnam. However, the present government headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had completely ignored it. She said that the project gates were damaged, and the government is not ready to spend even a penny to get the gates repaired and restored.
She visited the project site along with the party senior leaders and regretted that such an important project was neglected by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. She said that late Dr Rajasekhar Reddy wanted agriculture to develop and had started the Jala Yagnam programme. However, this government had completely neglected the agriculture and irrigation sectors.
She also blamed the government for not completing the Veligonda project. She said that late Dr Rajasekhar Reddy had completed 70 per cent of the project and wondered why the present government could not complete the remaining 30 percent if they are interested in agriculture and irrigation sectors.
Sharmila also blamed the YSR Congress government for not bringing even a single industry to Prakasam district. She said that people are migrating to other places in search of livelihood and wondered how long they should continue this migration. She blamed the government for not making any effort to stop migrations.
She also blamed the government for not taking up Dugarajapatnam Port, which was part of the bifurcation issues. She said that the Central government is ready to give funds for the port works, while the state was not asking for it.
She blamed the YSR Congress for becoming loyal to the BJP leadership. She said that the BJP without a single seat in the state was dictating politics in Andhra Pradesh. She said that the YSR Congress had surrendered to the BJP, and it was the BJP which was ruling the state.
